About Our Guild 

Population Control was formed over seven years ago, by myself and four of my friends, in the game Asheron's Call. We started playing AC on the Darktide server, which was a brutal kill or be killed free for all PVP server. Originally, we were not much of a guild, more like a group of bandits ransacking the countryside killing and looting whomever got in our way. Along the way, however, we managed to recruit like minded individuals, who happened to share our bloodthirstyness. After AC we have played  DAOC, Shadowbane, and World of Warcraft, and we are now ready to take on Age of Conan. With each new game we play, we become a little more skilled in the fine art of killing our enemies. Dark times were ahead of us, with the release of games like World of Warcraft, we lost our true purpose in the MMO world, and that is the relentless slaughter of innocents. The killing of cartoon gnomes just didnt seem to bring the satisfaction that we were looking for, and it looked as if all was lost. We now have a new sense of hope, with the release of Age of Conan, that our daggers can once again shed the blood of our enimies.

Our Philosophy

Population Control  is a PvP focused guild. Our players are assassins, looters, pillagers, and bandits. We have no alliances, except of convenience. We encourage player killing and looting whenever possible.Our aim in Age of Conan is to become the most feared group of individuals in the game. This may seem like an impossible objective, but with persistence, and determination we will acomplish it. We will show our enimies no mercy, and fight without fear, without hesitation. This is our mission, and our pledge.

Why Should I Join Your Guild?

The reasons most people join guilds are for community, gaining an advantage for their character, and above all, having fun. As a guild we will achieve this for our members by providing them with the tools to achieve success regardless of their playstyle. Of course, being in a guild is a two way street, and member contributions are vital for the long term success of the guild. We expect every member of our guild to contribute to its success. For that reason, we have a system of rewarding our members for thier contributions, and eliminating players who are deadweight.

How do I join

The first step would be to read the Guild Rules section of our guild FAQ. If you feel our rules are acceptable, and you feel you would be a good fit in our guild, introduce yourself in our public recruitment forum, and fill out our guild application. After this has been done, you will be on a two week probationary period, where our officers will evaluate you. The reason a probationary period is essential is to prevent idiots, cry babies, whiners, and carebears from joining the guild, and maintaining a quality member base.
